2011 is going to be a very difficult year for the budget as we not only face a continuation of last year's general economic conditions, but also deal with $350 Million dollars in funding cuts from Washington and Richmond.
We need your help, and that's what this page is all about.
True to her motto, "I listen – I care – I respond" Supervisor Caddigan has decided again this year to reach out and involve the residents of Dumfries in this year's budget process. We are currently organizing a budget committee made up of ordinary Dumfries residents to review the proposed budget, work with County staff to answer questions about the budget, and provide recommendations. We will keep you informed on their activities and will provide you as much information as we can on the issues, the process and the decisions.
And as this process moves forward, we want to hear from you! Your input will go directly to Supervisor Caddigan, her staff, and each member of the budget committee, so please share your priorities, your questions, your concerns and your ideas. You can make a difference!
